Over
1200 species of birds may be seen in India. Any where you are you are bound
to see over a hundred species. One can have a field day for birding with
over 375 species found in the 30 sq. km. Keoladeo National Park situated
with in 60 kms. from the Taj Mahal. Both of them are listed in the World
heritage site. It is comprised of wetland, woodland and grass land and
is heaven for waterfowl, herons, cranes and birds of prey apart from the
mammals, such as Samber, Chital, Nilgai, Black Buck, Python can also be
seen very easily. The star attraction is the Siberian Crane which comes
in winter from November to March. A visit is a must for serious birders
and it can be conveniently explored on foot. Over trails intersection the

1st Day : Arrive Delhi
On arrive meeting & assistance at airport then transfer to Hotel.
2nd Day : Delhi
Full day sight seeing tour of old & New Delhi.
3rd Day : Delhi - Corbett
Early depart from Delhi to arrive for lunch in Corbett. After a lunch have
a nature walk accompanied by a naturalist, along the Kosi River which
is known as birders' paradise. A slide show on the flora & fauna of
the area. Jeep Safari in Corbett National Park for tiger tracking. We drive
along the Ramganga, to look for the fish eating Gharial and Marsh
Crocodiles. With the possibility of seeing 05 species of Kingfishers, Pallas
& Himalayan Greyheaded Fishing Eagles, Osprey, Crested Serpent Eagle
and of course the Mammalia, the Safari is magical. Arrive at Dhikala, the
natural setting is awesome and the location picturesque. Lunch, rest, relax
and enjoy the panoramic view of the grassland area and its abundant wildlife.
The elephant ride from Dhikala provides the opportunity for close viewing
of wildlife. Jeep to Jungle Lodge for overnight stay. 4th Day : Corbett
Early morning Jeep Safari into the awesome wilderness of the Park. Arrive at yourwildlife resort. Drive in the jeep to get to the point where we start the elephant safari. Enroute visit Kanda situated at an elevation of 1020 m, where Jim Corbett shot the Kanda Man-eater. After a picnic lunch we start the elephant Safari in the Himalayan foothills. The best place to be for a photographer, in Corbett National Park, is on elephant back. Since there are a limited number of elephants available for rides, it is worthwile checking out some of the other excellent spots. These are The Sambar Trail, The Dhikala watchtower, Dhikala Chaur and lake, Crocodile Pool, High Bank, Gairal Huts (only in the summers), Gettheryo, Jamun Bhuji, Kanda, watch tower on river bank opposite Dhikala, Dhikala complex itself (it may not be as exciting here but you`ll be able to photograph almost all the animals you want and that too at close range), Ram SinghRoad and Champion Road.
5th Day : Corbett - Agra - Bharatpur
Morning drive to Bharatpur, en route visiting Agra.
6th Dayn : Agra - Bharatpur
Morning visit Agra & drive to Bharatpur (Keoladeo Ghana). The
area was declared a national park on 10 March 1982, and accepted as a World
Heritage Site in December 1985. One third of birds in Keoladeo are migrants,
many of whom spend their winters in Bharatpur, before returning to their
breeding grounds, as far away as Siberia and Central Asia. Migratory birds
at Keoladeo include, as large a bird as Dalmatian pelican, which is slightly
less than two meters,and as small a bird as Siberian dusky leaf warbler,
which is the size of a finger. Other migrants include several species of
cranes, pelicans, geese, ducks, eagles, hawks, shanks, stints, wagtails,
warblers, wheatears, flycatchers, buntings,larks and pipits, etc.7th day : Bharatpur
Morning & evening walk in the Bharatpur bird sanctuary for Birding. Seventeen species of birds, namely, grey heron, purple heron, night heron, large egret, median egret, little egret,cattle egret, large cormorant, Indian shag, little cormorant,darter, painted stork, open-billed stork, black-necked stork, white-necked stork, white ibis and spoonbill are known to breed at Keoladeo heronry and the heronry here, is said to be one of the finest in the world.
Talking about the heronries of the world, Roger Tony Peterson wrote, " Perhaps the most impressive spectacle of all is the great assemblage at Bharatpur, near Agra, India, where half a dozen species of herons and egrets nest in association with painted storks, spoonbills, ibises and cormorants..."
8th Day : Bharatpur - Sawai madhopur
Morning walk in Bharatpur bird sanctuary. Besides the avian fauna, a large
variety of mammals and reptiles are also common in the park.These include
the nilgai, sambar, chital, leopard and the wild boar. A bonus to reptile-lovers
are the large rock pythons which can be spotted, sunning themselves, especially
at Python Point, beyond the Keoladeo Temple.Later drive Sawaimadhopur.
9th Day : Sawai madhopur
Morning & evening excursion to the Ranthambore National Park.
10th day : Sawai madhopur
Morning & evening excursion to the Ranthambore National Park.
11th Day : Sawai madhopur - Jaipur
Morning drive to Jaipur. Afternoon sight seeing tour of Jaipur city.
12th Day : Jaipur - Ahmedabad
Morning excursion to Amber Fort. Afternoon fly to Ahmedabad.
13th Day : Ahmedabad - Zainabad
Morning drive to Zainabad. Afternoon excursion to Rann of Kutch.
14th Day : ZainabadMorning & evening excursion to Rann of Kutch.
15th Day : Zainabad
Morning & evening excursion to Rann of Kutch.
16th Day : Zainabad - Ahmedabad
Morning drive Ahmedabad.
17th Day : Ahmedabad - Banglore - Mysore
Morning fly to Banglore. On arrival proceed for Mysore.
18th Day: Mysore - Ranganathittu - Mysore
Morning excursion to Ranganthitto Bird Sanctuary.
19th Day : Mysore - Ranganathitoo - Mysore
Morning excursion to Ranganthitto bird Sanctuary.
20th Day: Mysore - Bangalore
Morning drive to Banglore. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Banglore. Later transfer to airport to onward destination.
